A joint venture with the Kiewit Companies to rehabilitate the Dearborn Subway on the CTA Blue Line from Damen to UIC-Halsted. The scope of the work can be divided into 4 categories: Half Tie Renewal, Direct Fix, Ballasted Track Renewal, and Special Trackwork.

Half Tie Renewal work consist of removing 32,000 timber half ties and replacing the voids with concrete and direct fix plate assemblies.

Direct Fix work consists of removing 6000 TF of ballasted track and replacing it with monolithic concrete direct fix track.

Ballasted Track Renewal consists of replacing 300 TF of ballasted, timber tie track with new composite ties.
Special Trackwork includes full replacement of the LaSalle Crossover and tangent ballast renewal of the Grand Crossover.

Other work pertaining to this contract includes: install 30,000 TF of new running rail, crack injection of tunnel walls, concrete rehabilitation of upper footwalk, sewer cleaning, light fixture repairs, and complete 3rd rail replacement.
